There is hardly a more striking site than the deeply pitted bark, massive trunk and snaking branches of an ancient Oak tree.  Plants connect us to history in ways nothing else can and demonstrate qualities of endurance, togetherness and vibrancy as they grow older, taller and more magnificent.  They provide life by offering shade, oxygen, mineral procurement for other plants, preserving water, mitigating erosion and much more.  

It is the inspiration of the mighty and enduring trees that motivates Abiding Tree Landscape company to create beautiful outdoor spaces that promote plant life and the interactions of people with the natural world.  Contributing to climate care through the planting and nurturing of life giving plants that can be enjoyed through close physical experience  provides manifold benefits for  the present and years to come.  Our work is governed by an understanding of a deep connectedness to nature and a responsibility to care and protect the natural world.

   Abiding Tree carries on the legacy of quality landscape construction from SBLC (Shepard Butler Landscape Company), which served the northeast in premier landscape installations for 35 years.  Paul Wilmot oversaw countless successful construction projects for SBLC over the course of 15 years and started a new chapter for the company with an ownership and name change in January 2020.  Abiding Tree, continues the excellent traditions of high craftsmanship and attention to detail as a competitive installation company for residential, commercial and institutional landscape projects.

Based out of Hanover, New Hampshire, Abiding Tree undertakes projects largely in the Upper Valley and throughout the twin state region.
